Welcome to the online store shop.mellstroy.lv (hereinafter referred to as the “Online Store”), owned by SIA Mellstroy (registration number: 40003348177, legal address: Olaines nov., Olaine, Kūdras iela 12 - 2, LV-2114). These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) govern the use of the Online Store, the purchase of goods, and interactions with our company. By using shop.mellstroy.lv, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please refrain from using the website.

1. General Provisions
1.1. These Terms are developed in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Latvia, including the Civil Law (Civillikums), the Consumer Rights Protection Law (Patērētāju tiesību aizsardzības likums), and applicable European Union regulations, including Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights.
1.2. The Online Store offers construction and finishing materials, as well as related products. All products displayed on the website are available for purchase subject to availability.
1.3. SIA Mellstroy reserves the right to amend these Terms. The updated version will be published on shop.mellstroy.lv with the effective date indicated.

2. Registration and Account Use
2.1. Registration of an account is not mandatory to make purchases in the Online Store, but it provides additional features such as access to order history and personalized offers.
2.2. When registering, you must provide accurate and up-to-date information (name, email, delivery address, etc.). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account details, including your password.
2.3. The Online Store reserves the right to block or delete an account in case of violation of the Terms, provision of false information, or suspicion of fraudulent activity.

3. Order Placement and Processing
3.1. Orders are placed through the shop.mellstroy.lv website. After placing an order, you will receive a confirmation via the email provided during registration or checkout.
3.2. All prices on the website are listed in euros (€) and include value-added tax (VAT) in accordance with Latvian legislation (21% rate). Delivery costs are calculated separately and displayed during checkout.
3.3. The Online Store reserves the right to refuse order fulfillment in case of product unavailability, pricing errors, or other objective reasons. You will be notified as soon as possible in such cases.

4. Payment
4.1. Payment is accepted through the following methods:
• Bank transfer to SIA Mellstroy’s account.
• Other methods specified on the website during checkout.
4.2. Payment is considered complete upon receipt of funds in the Online Store’s account. Orders may be suspended until payment is confirmed.
4.3. All payments are processed through secure systems compliant with security standards (PCI DSS). We do not store bank card details.

5. Delivery
5.1. Delivery is available throughout Latvia and other European countries. Delivery times and costs depend on the region, weight, and volume of the order and are specified during checkout.
5.2. You are required to inspect the goods upon receipt. In case of damage or discrepancies, contact us within 48 hours via email: info@mellstroy.lv or phone: +371 26 530 851.
5.3. The risk of accidental loss or damage to the goods passes to the buyer upon handover to the courier service or during self-pickup.

6. Returns and Exchanges
6.1. In accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU and Latvian legislation, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 calendar days from the receipt of the goods without providing a reason (right of withdrawal).
6.2. To be eligible for a return, the product must be unused, in its original packaging, and in marketable condition. Returns do not apply to custom-made goods.
6.3. To initiate a return, contact us at info@mellstroy.lv. Return shipping costs are borne by the buyer unless otherwise specified by law or agreement.
6.4. Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, using the same payment method used for the purchase.
6.5. If the product is defective or does not match the description, we will replace it or refund the cost, including delivery charges, in accordance with applicable law.

7. Warranty
7.1. All products come with a warranty in accordance with Latvian and EU legislation (typically 2 years from the date of purchase). The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use or external factors.

8. Liability
8.1. SIA Mellstroy is not liable for losses caused by improper use of products, failure to follow instructions, or force majeure circumstances.
8.2. Website content (prices, descriptions, images) is provided “as is.” We strive to ensure the accuracy of information but are not responsible for potential technical errors.
8.3. The Online Store is not liable for delivery delays caused by third parties (e.g., courier services).

9. Privacy

10. Dispute Resolution
10.1. Any disputes related to these Terms shall be resolved through negotiations. If no agreement is reached, disputes will be settled in the courts of the Republic of Latvia in accordance with applicable law.
10.2. Consumers also have the right to contact the Consumer Rights Protection Centre of Latvia (Patērētāju tiesību aizsardzības centrs) or use the EU’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: ec.europa.eu/odr.
